Skiing

The chalet is only 8 minutes drive from the main lift station at Les Carroz - part of the Grand Massif resortsof Flaine, Les Carroz, Morillon, Samoens and Sixt. The skiing is varied and there are plenty of runs to suit all standards and abilities from the long green runs through the trees at Mortillon to the diamond blacks of Flaine and long off piste descents to Sixt. Samoens has high north facing black and red runs at the top which keep their snow in good condition when the sun makes the lower and south facing slopes slushy. The whole area is well supplied with good mountain restaurants.

Further afield the Portes du Soleil resorts of Morzine, Avoriaz, Les Gets etc providethe largest linked ski area in the world and its only 20 minutes drive from the chalet to Les Gets. Les Praz / Sommand is a charming small French resort which is also cheap to ski. Megeve and Les Contamines are only 30 minutes in the car and the high mountains of Chamonixare 40 minutes drive. You could not be better situated for such a wide variety of excellent resorts.
